Homestays

You will stay each night in a local home. We have identified families along the route who have a naturally hospitable instinct and we have worked with them to develop some knowledge on how to host foreign guests and how to provide hygienic meals.

Sleeping facilities are basic. Usually the whole family sleeps in one or two large rooms. The mattresses are thin but adequate. There are always mosquito nets and fans.

Showering facilities usually consist of ladling water over your head. This is the Cambodian way.

You should bring photos from home to show your hosts as this will generate much interest.

Bikes

Giant Rincon and Revel Mountain Bikes are provided. These are 8 speed/24 gear bikes with front suspension.

A rear pannier rack with waterproof panniers is provided. Two bottle holders are provided.

You can retain your bikes to ride around Kep for an additional charge of $20 per day.

Start and finish points

The ride starts from the Vicious Cycle shop in Phnom Penh.
The ride concludes at your hotel in Kep. You should book your Kep accommodation in advance for convenience.
